We help couples create personal wedding websites and help their guests find event details, RSVP, and stay connected in the lead-up to the big day. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have regarding that information.
By creating a wedding site with us, visiting our website, or otherwise using our services (together, the “Services”), you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.
This policy is designed to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (together, the “DPDP Act”), as well as general global privacy principles. Section 9 below sets out our DPDP-specific commitments in detail.

This policy applies to three types of people who interact with our Services:
- Couples — individuals who create and manage a wedding website through our platform.
- Guests — individuals invited to view a couple’s wedding website, RSVP, or otherwise participate through the site.
- Visitors — anyone who browses welcometourwedding.com without creating an account or being invited to a specific wedding site.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account details: name, email address, password, and phone number.
- Wedding site content: event dates, venue details, travel and accommodation information, registry links, and any text, photos, or media you upload.
- Guest information: names, contact details, meal preferences, RSVP responses, and any messages sent through the site.
- Payment information, where applicable, processed through our third-party payment processors — we do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
- Any other information you choose to share with us, such as through customer support requests or feedback forms.

9. Compliance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
Where we process the personal data of individuals in India, we do so in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 notified under it. Under the DPDP Act, welcome2ourwedding acts as a “Data Fiduciary” and you, as the individual to whom the personal data relates, are a “Data Principal.”
The DPDP Act is being brought into force in phases by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, with certain provisions effective from 13 November 2025 and further obligations scheduled to take effect on later notified dates. We will update our practices as additional provisions and rules come into force.
Notice and consent
Where we rely on your consent to process personal data under the DPDP Act, we will give you clear, itemized notice describing the personal data being collected and the purpose of processing, in or accompanied by English or another language you choose, before collecting your consent. You may give, refuse, or withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Rights of Data Principals
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and the processing activities carried out on it.
- Request correction, completion, updating, or erasure of your personal data.
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Withdraw consent at any time, and have that withdrawal be as easy as giving it.
- Access a readily available grievance redressal mechanism before approaching the Data Protection Board of India.
Grievance redressal
If you have a grievance regarding how we process your personal data, please write to us at care@welcometourwedding.com, and we will endeavor to respond and resolve your grievance within the timeframe prescribed under the DPDP Rules. If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Children and persons with disability
Where we knowingly process the personal data of a child (an individual under 18 years of age) or a person with a disability who has a lawful guardian, we will obtain verifiable consent from the parent or lawful guardian, as applicable, and will not undertake tracking, behavioral monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.
Cross-border data transfers
We may transfer personal data outside India for processing, in accordance with the DPDP Act, except to countries restricted by the Central Government of India from time to time.
Data breach notification
In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected Data Principals as required under the DPDP Act and its Rules.
10. Children’s Privacy (General)
Outside of the DPDP Act protections described above, our Services more generally are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
11. International Users
Our Services may be accessed from countries other than the one in which our servers or service providers are located. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country different from your own, which may have different data protection laws, and that data of Indian users is additionally subject to the DPDP Act as described in Section 9.
12. Third-Party Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, such as registries, vendors, or venues. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, in applicable law (including further provisions of the DPDP Act and its Rules as they come into force), or for other legal or operational reasons.
